Some ISPs like AOL use proxy servers to cache web pages (some large corporate networks also use proxy servers).  Proxy servers can cause problems when you try to access a secure server. Here's how to turn off proxy usage on your browser:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x browsers:

1.  Select Internet Options in the Tools menu.

2.  Select the "Connections" tab at the top of the Internet Options dialog box.

3.  In the middle of the Connections dialog box, click the button that says "Settings."

4.  In the Settings dialog box, uncheck the box that says "Use a proxy server for this connection."

Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x and 4.x browsers:

1.  Select "Options" in the View menu.

2.  Click the "Connection" tab in the Options dialog box.

3.  Make sure the "Connect through a proxy server" box is unchecked.

Netscape Navigator 4.x browsers:

1.  Select "Preferences" in the Edit menu.

2.  Expand the "Advanced" section of the tree control on the left-hand side of the dialog box.

3.  Select "Proxies."

4.  Select "Direct Connection to the Internet."

Netscape Navigator 3.x browsers:

1.  Select "Network Preferences" in the Options menu.

2.  Click the "Proxies" tab in the dialog box.

3.  Select "no proxies."

If you follow these directions and still have trouble logging on, please send an e-mail to Dan right away.  I'll help you.   Thanks.
