However, Dansbig is also available in Vivo, which is an older video format that runs on all Apple operating systems (in OSX, Vivo runs in Classic mode). 

The Vivo player for Mac can be found at http://egg.real.com/vivo-player/vivodl.html.  When you install the player, you may also need to pull the Vivo Plugin icon into the Applications/Internet Applications/Plug-Ins folder. 

Before you join, try the installation and see if it works for you.  You can go to http://www.dansbig.com/NewGraphics/sizes.htm where you will find a free sample Vivo video to try out (choose the size that corresponds to your connection speed). 

The Vivo videos do not look as good as Windows Media, but they are the best I can offer to Apple users at this time.
